    Indian cricketer Mithali Dorai Raj served as captain of the country's women's national team from 2004 to 2022. One of the best female cricketers of all time, Mithali has scored the most runs in women's international cricket.     In Jodhpur, Rajasthan, on December 3, 1982, Mithali was born. Her father, Dorai Raj, was a warrant officer in the Indian Air Force, and her mother is Leela Raj. She attended Kasturba Gandhi Junior College for Women in Secunderabad and Keyes High School for Girls in Hyderabad for her intermediate education. Along with her older brother, she started receiving cricket coaching in primary school.

    At the age of 16, Mithali made her debut for India abroad in 1999. Since then, she has represented India in more than 230 games and amassed over 7,800 runs. In ODI cricket, she is the only woman to have scored more than 7,000 runs. Additionally, Mithali has led India in more than 150 games. India was led by her to the Women's Cricket World Cup final, where they were defeated by England.
